Course timings and Zoom Format

Our SCE Revision Courses are conducted via Zoom. This gives us more opportunity for you to join us more conveniently than ever before, from the comfort of your home, from anywhere in the world. We can also hand-pick our speakers from across the UK.

We’re enlisting the help of ‘Effective Professional Interactions’ - our web hosts, who have a wealth of experience in smoothly running highly commended Zoom training to national audiences.

Approximate timings are below:

Day 1 & 2 registration and login is at 08:30 with our first session starting at 09:00

Days 1 & 2 end at around 16:30

Zoom links will be sent to you by email approximately one week before each day of the course, and again 24-48 hours before. Please check your junk mail folder if you do not receive these. Days 1 and 2 will be sent separately.

Course Resources

A login to our course resources will usually be sent to delegates during the week before our course. As a current delegate, you’ll have access to this until one week after the next sitting of the SCE. You will be able to access our resources from the link at the top of the page, or via pallmed.pro/resources. There will be limited access to certain recordings only for those who are present on the live days. The resources portal will not contain many resources until the course is underway.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the course recorded? Can I just get access to the recording and resources?

We’re sorry, but course resources are only for those attending the course, and we do not grant access to our resources portal for non-delegates. The course is designed as a live and interactive event, including elements like group work, polls and live chat with our expert speakers. For that reason, and so you get the most out of the two days, we don't ordinarily make our resources available to those who are unable to join us live. We do record some of our sessions, which are later accessible to delegates who are with us on the day.

We do however acknowledge that sometimes attendance just isn't possible - some people live in different timezones, others aren't able to get the study leave they need, or unexpected circumstances get in the way. If you have a reason for not being able to attend live, please do get in touch and we'll be happy to do what we can on a case-by-case basis,as we really don't want anyone to miss out.

What do I need for the course?

You’ll need an internet-connected device with a microphone AND a camera with Zoom already installed to join the course. We recommend joining from a desktop or laptop computer, and using the Zoom app (rather than trying to access through the browser version of Zoom). Although it is possible to join via a tablet, you may miss out on some interactive elements of the course, and your experience might not be the same.

What about internet?

A stable and fast internet connection is always a good idea. We won’t be able to help resolve connectivity issues arising at your end, and your internet connection is your responsibility. Hospital and hospice education centres may have a room or device you could borrow if you’re concerned.

Can others join me on my Zoom device?

Provided they have registered and paid for a place on the course, you’re welcome to have more than one person sharing a webcam. Our web host will be checking registration details, so please let us know if you plan to share a device with friends or colleagues.

When are the course resources available?

We will provide delegates with a login in the week before the course. The resources folder is then added to over the duration of the course (so handouts etc. are added for you in real-time). You then have access to all of these until one week after the next exam sitting, and you are welcome to keep them for personal use.  Please note that not all sessions are recorded.

I can’t use PayPal in my country

Please get in touch with us on info@pallmedpro.co.uk to discuss alternative options. Note that you don’t have to have a PayPal account to make payment - credit and debit cards are accepted at our PayPal checkout.

I can’t make it to both days of the course. What should I do?

We strongly recommend joining us for both days, but we know that sometimes it's just not possible: Although our course price is fixed, we’re happy to talk through your options. Please get in touch on info@pallmedpro.co.uk
